Pros

Learning all aspects of the radio business.

Cons

This company is very unorganized it's ridiculous. The sales team books events between twelve hours to three days away and they don't care how last minute it is because it's money in their pockets and they're not the ones who have to work it. Almost every event I worked at the clients had no idea we were coming. There is no communication at all that's how unorganized Press is. Management feels they don't have to help promo assistants with working some events because they're managers and don't have to, which I agree and disagree with at the same time. Then it falls on us part-timers because we are at the bottom of the ladder and are easily replaceable. Press treats their part-timers and employees like crap and they wonder why no one stays for an extended period of time. It was a fun job, but I was just fed up with many empty promises to grow in the company and I wasn't the only one who felt this way too.

Terrible management, schedule changed 6+ times a week, sometimes 1 day before event, horrible sales department, part time employees treated horribly, no room for promotion within company, blocked from trying to move to a different department within the company, no morale, constant berating & threatening emails from management, equipment constantly failed at events, turnover due to lack or morale & treatment
