Pros

Coming from a totally different career, I joined Pro-Recruitment with absolutely no recruitment experience and in fact had not even worked in an office environment besides work experience in school. One of the biggest things I was grateful for was the opportunity to learn and begin a totally new career, for which I will always be appreciative of. Starting as a Researcher I learnt about the tax and finance markets, as well as the recruitment industry, with the guidance of Ali, Pat and the rest of the Consultants over the first few weeks/months. Within a short space of time I was quickly seeing the benefit of my hard work in this role. After some months as a Researcher and at a point of my own choosing I moved into a Consultant role. This had its different challenges and even with the support I had and doing all the right things it took me a while before I could see the fruits of my labour. What was great about Pro was that they recognised I was working hard and provided me with the right encouragement and support for me to persevere and after a little bit more time than I expected I was doing extremely well! Overall my personal experience was very positive and I would recommend working here to anyone that is willing to put in the effort and succeed. Additionally, it was always great fun going out on premier club lunches in the excellent fine dining restaurants that London has to offer!

Cons

Pro-Recruitment is a supportive environment, however if you are not willing to put the effort in then this environment is not for you. Recruitment is a pro active job and will reward people that want to succeed. Don't expect things to happen over night.

Thank you for such an insightful review of your time working at Pro-Recruitment group and it sounds like you had a great start to your career in recruitment. We know that coming from an entirely different career the transition can be difficult. Ali, Pat and the rest of Consultants are always available to go to for support and guidance for both recruitment and sector knowledge and they all work hard to make sure you are encouraged to be successful. You are right that recruitment is a proactive job and things don't happen overnight, but from your comments on being promoted to Consultant and going to Premier Club it sounds like your hard work and perseverance really paid off! We wish you all the best for the future.

Thanks for reviewing your time at Pro. Your lovely comments about the brilliant commission structure, family feel, great culture, work life balance, benefits/perks, and the training and investment to develop our staff are great to hear. We have recently introduced additional training to give staff further support and so far have had some excellent feedback on this. Good luck for the future and all the best in your future endeavours.

Pros

- Fantastic team - Plentiful and structured training - Structured guidance - A company with 'ears' for their employees, from suggestion boxes to monthly company meetings with anonymous feedback - Big billing potential - Niche markets - An ACTUAL culture. A lot of companies talk about great culture, when actually they just mean a trip to Barcelona for the weekend. Here, you actually are the culture. - Flexible working. Fine from home if needed, and flexi hours. As long as the job gets done, they're not fussy on hour patterns.

Cons

- Only I can think of is that it's a fairly sized team and a lot of people have been here for some time, so it can be gutting to see someone you know and like leave.

Thanks for your review and its great to know starting at Pro has been a pleasure. Your lovely comments on the fantastic team, the culture that we work hard to achieve and your recognition that we use our 'ears' to take on feedback from all employees. Recruitment is an industry that is notorious for having a high turnover, and we are very lucky that the culture at Pro means this is much lower than the industry average. This does make it so much harder when people do leave, but we wish them every success in the next step in their career.
