Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

First and foremost, women are treated terribly here. We are consistently overlooked, underpaid, and disrespected in the workplace. Despite having the same qualifications and skills as our male counterparts, women are rarely given the same opportunities for advancement, and the pay disparity is glaring. If you’re a woman, expect to work twice as hard for half the recognition—and certainly don’t expect your salary to reflect your efforts. Raises and salaries across the board are laughable, and if you’re not an engineer, don’t even bother expecting to be treated as a valuable asset. The gap between the engineers and everyone else is stark, and PEC offers little in terms of fair compensation for non-technical roles. Another glaring issue is the lack of diversity in the C-suite and upper management. The leadership is almost entirely made up of white males, and it’s clear that diversity is not a priority for them. There’s no effort to address this imbalance, which creates a toxic and exclusionary environment, especially for women and people of color. They say you're family, but management only cares about themselves. PEC's attempts to appear like a large, sophisticated firm fall flat. There are so many meaningless titles—way too many VPs and Senior VPs who don’t really contribute much to the firm’s actual success. It seems like the management team is more concerned with their inflated egos and titles than actually running a successful business. It’s also worth mentioning that turnover is through the roof. This place is a revolving door—people are constantly leaving because of the terrible work environment, and the company is always hiring to fill those spots. It's clear that they can’t retain employees for long, which speaks volumes about how employees are treated. I would not recommend anyone apply to PEC, especially if you are a woman. But even if you are not a woman, think about whether you want to support a company that would treat your mom, sister, spouse, or friend the way PEC does. It's not a place where people are valued or respected, and it's not a place where you will thrive.

Pros

Average pay at best. Work and get 50k to 80k at most. Benefits were good, but many doctors will not accept.

Cons

Endless drama, poor communication, large egos, slow thinkers, and more VPs than designers. You like Socratic questioning, pigeonholing, and little to no mentorship? This is the place. Not to mention people who think they are amazing teachers yep they are some of the worst I've ever met. One person out of 30 people leave every month. Currently a very high turnover rate and it's getting even higher. Nearly every person I respected has left. If this sounds like things you can work with, feel free to accept the position. Beware of small teams, they are echo chambers. PEC, without fail, will offer you a position. Why? They have become desperate. They add 8 new desk yet 1/2 the old ones are still empty. Also, this company has absolutely no diversity and inclusion. Before I worked here, I never cared, but after being 1 of 400, I realized that this might be indicative of a deeper issue in the company. Where did all the foreign electrical engineers go after college? Not here, thats for sure. Finally, they claim to have a flex time schedule but this is completely false as depending on your manager, you are forced into whatever they decide without caring about what you want or need. Goodness forbid if you need to take a day of. You will hear about this later. Work life balance is non existent. Your life does not matter. It doesn't matter if you spoke about this and cleared it up before accepting the offer letter, we will still challenge you about how you operate while simultaneously allowing utmost freedom to older employees. Always met with resistance, never understanding.

Pros

This is a good place to work if you like to be taken advantage of.

Cons

I think they have more Vice Presidents than they do employees.
