      "Our time together has come to an end." PROGENYHEALTH IS A SINKING SHIP!

      Pros

      - Supporting NICU babies and moms is a great cause - If you are a director or c-suite member that does not like to work, this is the place for you

      Cons

      - The organization is very top heavy and continues to hire directors and C-suite personal while laying off the actual people that do the work - Around 20% of the company was just laid off and the only open positions to date are director and c-suite roles - 3% annual raise with no arguing or room for improvement (inflation is around 7% this year) - The President read from a script to fire around 20% of the workforce and showed no remorse or concern. - A proven record and inability to retain talent at all levels

      Our entire organization and leadership team take anything related to our workforce very seriously. When a difficult decision occurs, it is only after deep consideration and painful reflection. To correct inaccurate information in your original comment, our President did not “read from a script to fire around 20% of the workforce and showed no remorse or concern”. Separate discussions took place with those team members that were affected. Following those discussions, our president led an internal meeting with the rest of the ProgenyHealth team members to provide them with an update. Our talented team members are one of our greatest strengths, including the necessary leadership required to help us achieve our growth objectives. Whether an individual serves in a clinical, operational, administrative or executive role, their contributions help us provide exceptional services and allow us to remain an innovator in our space and an attractive employment option for candidates seeking to serve others.

      Case Management Associate

      Pros

      This job is calling to moms with NICU babies to make sure they have everything they need and the babies are staying healthy. The pace is steady and there is always work to be done. The company is growing quickly and therefore, a lot of positions are opening internally and externally. Employees are getting promoted quickly which is great. Pay is OK. Overall, the employees for the most part are extremely down to earth. Especially upper management. They are all easy to talk to. Work from home options are great for most departments. Start with 18 days PTO after accrued.

      Cons

      - No maternity leave. This is HUGE. Compared to other companies who have it, being 6-20 weeks full pay! Progeny does not have this. Only Short-term disability. This is ironic as we are taking care of moms with babies all day. When having a baby, women need that full pay check, not 60% of it. Huge turn-off, especially when hiring young employees as they are. - Health insurance benefits are good but very expensive compared to other companies I have worked for by over double the amount I used to pay. - Raises are 3% each time and doesn’t depend much on performance at all. - No Christmas bonus

As of January 2020, Progeny has implemented a Paternity Leave Policy that provides paid parental leave to eligible employees to care for, and bond with, their newborn/newly adopted child. Even those employees who seek new opportunities outside of ProgenyHealth say that our mission and results made their work meaningful, and that they loved the teams with whom they worked. It’s one of the reasons that our average employee tenure is 3.7 years, far above the national standard. Please note that the information and the rationale you shared are incorrect. The health plan industry has gone through major changes in the last two years. One of our longest-standing clients was acquired by another organization with in-house care management resources, necessitating an adjustment to our team. Even our outgoing client has acknowledged our positive impact and remains one of our strongest references among new prospects who are eager to work with us.
