Pros

Supportive of interdisciplinary, multi-modality therapies; strong, talented clinicians; interesting clinical space with lots of therapy opportunities for clients; opportunities to grow clinical skills.

Cons

Strong pressure on clinicians to perform admin and housekeeping duties outside of scope of practice (painting and filling holes in walls, cold-calling clients for extra sessions, creating social media content); bare-bones sick days/PTO policy; low pay compared to level of clinical skill and number of duties; unsupportive of work-life balance; high employee turnover; large caseload with high number of weekly evals; frequent scheduling errors due to understaffing; multiple incidences that put employee safety at risk.

Pros

Offers full time peds job with benefits which is a difficult find in South Florida. Great therapists who are passionate, offers a shared drive with many resources which provide a solid starting point as a new therapist. Owner is willing to listen to suggestions and is receptive to changes in your schedule.

Cons

-VERY hard to take time off with very slow PTO accrual -Low salaries compared to hospital peds setting or typical OP PRN rate -You are often expected to schedule, with consequences if you have openings. Limited documentation time. Often 5+ evals/week, with limited consideration of workload. Universal expectation to take work home, with "leadership" board for who is billing the most which is very toxic, as it takes away fro the focus to provide client centered care vs monetary driven goal. -Limited CEU allocation money- not paid for the day if you are completing CEU -Expectation to complete marking tasks for holiday pay -No boundaries with parents since you are expected to be in constant communication with them for scheduling reasons. Therefore, parents are often texting and calling when you are not at work. -No 401K match, bad benefits since its a small company
