Pros
You are able to work independently without a lot of corporate overhead. Management always makes themselves available to talk, they expect a lot, and as a result, you are learning the kind of problem solving skills that will take you far. There are opportunities to gain equity in the many ventures that Proteus oversees. Good benefits package.
Cons
Difficult to evaluate career progression as compared to larger, more structured companies. Salary lags compared to the market.
