Pros

Employees are taken care of in regards to benefits, retirement plan, and office amenities. (Insurance premiums were paid 100%, 4% 401k + 11% profit sharing, snacks and drinks for all) Well known and established company. Providence Office - gym for Providence Equity employees only, lunch for certain levels New York Office - lunch for everyone

Cons

You have to be dedicated to your career first and personal life second. You are expected to be available around the clock. Poor culture - If you make a bad first impression, you will be ostracized by many. Definitely a boys club, very cliquey. Recognition is saved for the favorite employees, others get thrown to the wayside. Divided culture. No training or development opportunities. Managers are not trained in how to manage a team.. some need to learn the basics. Unclear future.

Pros

good pay and benefits. The people are smart and work hard.

Cons

Has been suffering from sinking performance. The top performers are leaving at a steady rate. There is v. little diversity in mgmt. Office culture leaves a lot of be desired. Backstabbing is encouraged and people conspire to get others fired and the people that are doing this are also getting promoted. Could explain why different depts never collaborate with each other. Sr leaders and HR are oblivious to the low morale (or do not care, which is even worse). Mgmt in need of overhaul.

I take your candid feedback quite seriously and assure you we care deeply about our employees, current, former and future. Certainly, we strive to ensure all employees are treated fairly and as the firm evolves, so to do our fellow team mates. That means some decide to move on all together and for others, it means taking on new opportunities within PEP. I’d love to hear more about your experience and see if there are ways we can improve our process . Please feel free to reach out to me directly. Feedback like yours helps keep us accountable, so thank you. -VP, Human Resources
