Pros

Relatively flexible about remote work. Solid benefits for a small company. Fairly good pay.

Cons

Women are expected to be seen and not heard. Turnover for female employees is high. Operates like a sweat shop, if you're not billing hours, you hear about it. Salaried employees are expected to take vacation hours if they don't bill 40 hours in a week. Very poor management. Don't expect any support. Talks about quality, but doesn't understand how to achieve it. Excessively siloed for such a small company. Full of passive-aggressive introverts that talk about and not to each other. Non-existent communication--only communication is electronic. No job security--it's all about making this month's billings. Little steady clientele. Misrepresents itself as a tech guru, but doesn't even have tech available for staff to learn on.

Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. Since you are a current employee, I can understand why you posted anonymously; your input is upsetting for me to read, both as a Prowess manager and a long-term, female employee. Prowess strives to create an environment where employees can be as successful as they aspire to be, regardless of gender or position on the team. Our turnover rate in 2018 is less than 10%, with 50/50 representation along gender lines. Our current employee population hosts a 40% rate of employees whose tenure is 5 to 15 years, with female employees representing 40% of that group (including one of our two founding partners). We believe those are strong numbers not only in the technology industry but also within employee engagement in general. Successful communication can be challenging in a company where 50% of our employees work beyond the walls of our HQ office, either at client sites or while working remotely. Electronic communication is often the most expedient and efficient communication method. However, we also provide regular face-to-face opportunities for employees to communicate with each other, their managers, and our overall management team. We value these opportunities and invest in them at a variety of levels to foster our sense of community and corporate culture. It appears this has not been your experience. I would value a conversation with you to better understand how Prowess can support you better. My hope would be that following our conversation Prowess can implement changes so your experience is closer to my own personal experience at Prowess. Pros

There are pockets of real talent inside the company but they feel like lost souls.

Cons

A mediocre, empty temp agency pretending to be a consulting and software company that lacks vision, leadership, and knowledge. Marketing, and Sales are inexperienced and lack the talent and depth to secure opportunities to generate any real growth. * Dysfunctional Culture * Atmosphere of Fear and Mistrust * Rampant Cronyism, Narcissism, Nepotism * Leadership has Zero Experience * No Accountability

Pros

There are some good employees who work there who are experienced at what they do and have a professional attitude about work.

Cons

The people running this company have no loyalty to their employees, especially if the employees are not of the same religious orientation. Management is inexperienced and incoming management is floundering even more.
