Your job description will include the classic NHS sucker punch 'and any other duties as deemed appropriate'. This means you'll be dumped on with all the work your manager is being paid to do. There's no scrutiny over job creation so people keep creating 'cushion' jobs to slide underneath themselves so they can spend their time talking instead of thinking and defer anything difficult to someone else. Meetings mainly consist of a Mexican standoff where someone eventually blinks and makes the mistake of volunteering to do something.
