Pros
I’ve been at Purohit Navigation for 10 years, and over that time, I’ve seen plenty of change, most of it for the better. The firm has evolved into a place that values transparency, collaboration, and a true no-ego culture.
With the teams running small, it allows for everyone have a voice and the opportunity to make a real impact. There’s a strong sense of support (people genuinely have each other’s backs) and it creates a tight-knit, get-it-done environment that’s both flexible and empowering. Trust in our ability to do our jobs is clear across the organization, and the flexibility to work remotely (an increasingly rare perk) makes it even stronger.
Leadership is a major strength. Our CEO is deeply committed to listening and responding to her team, bringing a level of thoughtfulness and clarity that’s rare. You feel heard, respected, and challenged in the right ways. That mindset carries through the entire team, creating an environment where people genuinely care about what they do, and it shows in the quality of the work.
Another meaningful shift over time has been around workload and balance. With better support and a thoughtful reworking of our processes, the amount of overtime has significantly decreased. What used to feel constant is now more occasional and manageable. It’s made a real difference in creating a healthier, more sustainable work-life balance.
Cons
As with many smaller teams, you’re often wearing multiple hats, which can be a stretch at times. The pace can also be fast, so it helps to be adaptable and comfortable with change.
