Pros

- The people are great (apart from 90% of management) - Great location downtown - Pretty good space - Great out of office bonding events as well as in office events that are fun - Good for anyone looking to get into a digital agency after college

Cons

This is one of those companies who would like you to believe that they will look good on your resume, truth is that no one knows of this company outside the very small Orlando agency scene. Management: Many of the managers here have been ‘grandfathered’ into their positions at times where the business decided they needed managers and just hired from within. Most do not have any prior management skills and their idea of managing staff is just micromanaging employees in time tracking software to make sure they are tracking 40 hours a week. Poor salary: Prpl would like you to believe they pay competitively - however the entire office is underpaid. All it takes is looking at sites like Glassdoor and LinkedIn to easily see what the going rate for roles are yet they just ignore and continue to underpay Snacks? It’s the norm to have snacks and free food in agencies so this doesn’t feel like a perk. It’s really just a requirement to keep up with other agencies in the area. Although the idea of snacks are nice... they are all very unhealthy. Prpl is constantly letting go of staff which seems random at times. The general vibe on the production floor is that the company is running out of money and firing people as a way to stop their money from draining so quickly. Career growth: If you are looking for a long career that can be nurtured - Prpl is not the place for you.

Not Sustainable

Pros

My colleagues were amazing. They are the most talented people I have ever worked with. The office is pretty neat too.

Cons

There is no support from upper management and little to no true leadership to support teams. PRPL also can't keep good talent around as the work life balance at PRPL is not sustainable. Expect to work long hours all of the time with low pay. There is also next to no room to move up at the company.

Valid points, and thanks for the kind words about our people! It can be tough feeling like you're getting the guidance you need in a high-accountability, low-involvement work environment, but it also allows for lots of freedom within your discipline. We value your feedback, and will always continue to work toward improving!
