Pros

Over the past three years at Purpose Prep, I have experienced meaningful professional growth through progressively expanding roles. I began as a classroom teacher, advanced to Lead Teacher in my second year, and now serve as a Grade Level Lead. Each of these opportunities has strengthened my instructional practice, deepened my leadership capacity, and reinforced my commitment to educational excellence. What I value most about Purpose Prep is its unwavering commitment to high expectations and student achievement. The school’s rigorous curriculum challenges scholars to think critically, persevere through complex tasks, and reach their fullest potential. I appreciate being part of an environment that does not lower the bar, but instead provides the necessary support to ensure all scholars can meet and exceed those expectations. As an educator, I am deeply passionate about my scholars and intentional in building strong, trusting relationships with them. I believe that a positive and structured learning environment, paired with genuine care, is essential for both academic and personal growth. Purpose Prep’s mission and culture align closely with my own belief that every child deserves access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to succeed. My appreciation for Purpose Prep continues to grow each year because of its dedication to excellence, its investment in both scholars and staff, and its clear vision for what is possible in education. I am proud to be part of a community that prioritizes both rigor and relationships, and I remain committed to contributing to its ongoing success.

Pros

My experience working at Purpose Prep Academy has been incredibly meaningful, both professionally and personally. From the moment I joined the team, it was clear that this is a school deeply committed to equity, excellence, and the success of every scholar. One of the strongest aspects of Purpose Prep is its leadership. The leadership team is highly supportive, intentional, and present. They do not simply manage from a distance; they actively invest in teachers, providing consistent guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Their commitment to equity is not just a statement but a daily practice, reflected in decision-making, instruction, and the culture of the school. The training and professional development at Purpose Prep are exceptional. Teachers are not left to figure things out on their own. Instead, we receive structured, ongoing training that equips us with the tools to be effective in the classroom. Whether it is lesson internalization, data analysis, or instructional strategies, the support is thorough and actionable. This ensures that we are always improving and growing in our craft. Coaching is a central part of the experience, and it is done in a way that truly builds capacity. Teachers are consistently observed and given targeted, constructive feedback that helps us refine our practice. Rather than feeling evaluative, the coaching feels collaborative and growth-oriented. There is a shared understanding that the goal is to become the best educators possible for our scholars. Purpose Prep also does an excellent job of ensuring that scholars receive high-quality, rigorous curriculum. There is a strong emphasis on aligning instruction to standards and delivering content in a way that is both engaging and effective. Teachers are supported with resources, planning structures, and clear expectations so that we can focus on delivering impactful instruction every day. Classroom management is another area where the school excels. There are clear systems and expectations in place, and teachers are trained to implement them with consistency. This creates a structured, respectful learning environment where scholars can thrive. The alignment across classrooms helps maintain a strong school-wide culture. What truly sets Purpose Prep apart, however, is the sense of community. The staff operates like a family. There is a genuine culture of support, where colleagues uplift one another, collaborate, and step in when help is needed. This environment makes the challenging work of education feel sustainable and rewarding. Overall, Purpose Prep Academy is a place where educators are developed, supported, and held to a high standard, all while being part of a mission-driven community. It is a school that not only prioritizes scholar achievement but also invests deeply in the growth and well-being of its teachers.
