Nothing, they laid off a bunch of people after M&A.

Cons

Since Battery bought it and it joined Crunchtime the place turned really bad.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience ended on a difficult note, and we understand how challenging transitions like mergers and acquisitions can be—especially when they result in position eliminations. Workforce changes during M&A activity are incredibly complex and often tied to strategic business restructuring. We did our best to approach the process with transparency, fairness, and respect for all those affected, and we regret the impact it had on our valued team members like yourself. We sincerely appreciate the time, talent, and effort you brought to the company, and we wish you all the best in your next chapter.

Pros

The engineering talent here is incredible. Every software engineer on my team and other teams were the best coworkers I've ever had the privilege of working with. Everyone is eager to learn and jump in where they can to make the best possible product. You will not find a better group of people to work alongside with. The only reason this review isn't 1 star

Cons

Management is a group of the most incompetent, foolish, and petty people I have ever come across. I have never seen so many fragile egos in one place while claiming to be a place of people and culture. They sincerely don't care about you, your family, your experience, or your expertise. They make sweeping decisions on software practices without listening to the advice of their engineers, because they take any constructive feedback as personal insults. Their attitude is "if you don't like it, then leave". HR at this company is your enemy. They are actively looking to cut loose anyone who doesn't conform to their fragile agenda, and you confide in them at your peril. The software director is an arrogant and dismissive fool who has absolutely no idea what he is doing, and he holds grudges. You ever disagree with him on something, and you'll have a target on your back forever. They are constantly making decisions on changing practices, changing leadership, and middle management is a revolving door because they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Don't go into this company thinking you are going to make things a better place, because they are immune to advice. If you like being told what to do without thinking or asking questions, you might fit in

We are deeply committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and we regret that anyone's experience at QSR did not meet their expectations. We take all feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to reflect and improve. Our leadership team strives to make decisions that align with the best interests of our employees, our customers, and the organization as a whole. We acknowledge that change can be challenging, and we are continually working to ensure open communication and collaboration across all teams. While we understand that not every decision or approach may resonate with everyone, we remain focused on listening to feedback and creating an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected. We also encourage employees to raise concerns through appropriate channels, so they can be addressed constructively. QSR is truly a GREAT place to work. Our retention sits at 95%, so that says a lot.
