Pros

Lots of opportunity for the self-starter to thrive and work with smart people on dynamic clients and issues. Very supportive senior staff and mentors IF you’re willing to seek them out and cultivate relationship.

Cons

*Some senior executives* have a tendency to over-promise to existing and prospective clients, resulting in a staff that’s left scrambling to fill the void. Lack of sufficient support provided, in terms of both budgets and salaries. Too much emphasis on new business at expense of effectively servicing clients we already have (also results in widespread tendency to minimize or overlook significant contributions of employees committed to/responsible for consistently delivering results for existing clients). Hard to negotiate raise if not tethered to yet another new business win. Expected to cultivate and manage your own Rolodex of clients with little support for anything from initial pitch to staffing or funding (this is true even for high-priority / high-paying clients)

Pros

Talented staff/colleagues, hard-working mindset (work-hard play hard), well-educated staff.

Cons

Long hours with extreme volume of work, demanding clients (depends), depending on what level you are, will not pay well but you will learn.

Awful, unethical, and mean company

Pros

Junior staff is fun to work with, compensation is sometimes good

Cons

Hugely unethical both in choice of clients, how clients are treated, and how employees are treated. Little actual knowledge of supposed areas of expertise, but generous willingness to lie and overstate skills and knowledgebase.
