Pros

Used to be a great (although stressful) place to work. The guy who started this company was an amazing leader, who worked harder than anyone, talked to everyone, LISTENED to everyone, and made everyone from the guy sweeping the floor, to his second in command, feel that their role was absolutely crucial. He was also great at spreading the wealth - company success meant employee success.

Cons

The founder passed away in 2015 and passed control on to his sons, neither of whom seem to have a lot of respect for employees. Input is not sought out from those who do the actual work. Employees are now treated as commodities that can be easily replaced. Turnover is huge. Quality of work now takes a backseat to sales, and mgmt. has decided they just don't have to give raises anymore.

Pros

The pay is ok, sometimes you get small perks

Cons

Management doesn't support employees, or stand up for the good ones. Bad employees will be defended and kept, making good employees care less to do as good. Shop turnover is ridiculous, but the office turnover is getting there, as well. Poor structure in place to spread the load to a manageable level. Managers may tell you to reach out if you need help, but then they're never available, take forever to respond, and don't do anything to actually help with any issues. Communication isn't their strong suit, either - from management to lowly employee, or from department to department. Everyone is out for themselves, regardless of the consequences to others. I personally do not feel respected, listened to, or supported. As long as I'm there to do more than my share, no one is interested in helping make things better....better enough to make people want to stay. I've seen plenty of good/skilled workers leave, just because they got sick of putting up with this kind of place every day.

Pros

Friendly and reasonable workforce and fairly low-stress work environment. A decent amount of freedom in how you do your day to day.

Cons

Management is resistant to change and ignores suggestions from those who have first-hand experience of the processes and issues. Hours are unpredictable, sometimes involving Saturday work with less than a week of warning. Engineering procedures are arbitrarily very lax or very stringent, and often cause more issues than they solve. Communication is sparse and the information you need to do your job is available.
