Great place to work

Pros

I have been with the company for many years. The company goes to great length to keep it's employee happy. We have a yearly bonus (0% to 30%) depending on personal performance and company performance, anniversary bonus and good health benefits. This is a great place for individual with initiative and good work ethics. R&D can sometime be repetitive in some of the task, at the same time must be able to adapt and change fast to accommodate experiments.

Cons

No cons at this time.

Pros

Employees were friendly. Scientists are extremely knowledgeable and trained technologist quite efficiently. Good learning experience.

Cons

Not much room for growth. Poor health and dental benefits. Projects depend too much on grants and funding which resulted in less work and layoffs. High turnover. Hours are not flexible as you are required to start and finish on an exact time (constantly watched).

Quantiam Technologies Response

Ex-employee is thanked for their feedback. The following facts are provided in response: 1. Employee was hired as a Research Technologist with a college (2-year) diploma with ZERO experience and into the top quartile of compensation in the Technology sector. The employee new very well that Tech is not O&G. 2. Employee was provided with two (2) promotions over his employment period of ~5 years, reflecting accelerated promotions. 3. Ignoring the exceptional benefits package provided by the company that in most years included a bonus, and the training and opportunity to work at the global leading edge of advanced materials and advanced manufacturing, the employee was provided over the course of his employment as averaged over his employment term, annual merit increases a multiple of market rate. 4. Despite the above, the employee could not get along with nearly all of his supervisors and many of his peers.
