Pros

Good pay, clean work environment, camaraderie with other abused employees

Cons

Hands down the most mentally unstable boss I've ever worked for. Cried on a daily basis, threw objects in anger, brought tons of personal issues to the workplace.

Pros

The one good thing that came from my experience was making contacts with other writers, editors, and contracting companies. Aside from that, there was nothing positive about my experience. Oh, the doorman was friendly, but I don't think that had anything to do with Quarasan.

Cons

The building is silent. They work their contracted employees to the bone, sometimes up to 80 hours with no overtime pay. They expect you to know things without an explanation from them. They keep employees who spend their days shopping online over those who actually work. There are discrepancies over what should be done and by whom; full-time employees give the majority of their work to contract employees and treat them as slaves there to do their bidding. There is next to no chance for advancement, especially as they have needed to downsize due to their low quality reputation in the industry. Basically, it's awful to work there, unless you're a full-time employee, then you get benefits and a big paycheck to play on Facebook and shop all day.

Pros

The projects could be fun and interesting, and I learned quite a bit working there. I felt challenged to come up with creative solutions. I had direct contact with the client. Nice co-workers.

Cons

Long work hours. Mercurial CEO who was intimidating to many. If Randi liked you, you were treated okay, but if she didn't, you'd be kicked out or treated poorly. She had zero tolerance for any errors. You could also be told your project was over on a Friday afternoon at 4pm; very little stability, even for contractors. The deadlines could be tight, at least when I worked there. The atmosphere was a bit like a factory. Company did not have a great reputation.
