Pros
Easy to deal with guests, mostly corporate, nice uniforms
Cons
No restaurant where we worked, had to outsource breakfast to a nearby restaurant. Skeleton staffing, mostly alone after 5pm to deal with other non reception concerns like making up trein beds, sofa beds, changing door batteries, TV remotes etc...

They will help you throughout your career it is not just a job, it is a responsibility they treat you as a family, not an outsider, and not just an employee of the company.
Cons
None aside that there will be huge pressure towards your work and stress.
