Pros
-collaboration. one of the most collaborative teams I have ever worked on. everyone is willing to pair and help each other. decisions are made as a team. we often meet to discuss issues with tech and process and take action to improve
-constantly learning. leads and architects are great at knowledge sharing. we have weekly lunch and learns and a monthly meetup to introduce new tech and ideas.
-developer experience. we don't have to struggle to do our job efficiently. we identify bottlenecks and actively work to eliminate them.
-leadership. they relate to what we do. they make sure we have the right tools for the job, are happy in what we are doing now, and are on track to better our career. management isn't afraid to get hands on during crunch time to help us meet a deadline either.
-accountability. we are expected to uphold a certain level of quality in our work and communication. if there is an issue, management is quick to get involved and do what they can to help others get back on track before it negatively impacts the team.
Cons
-it's a new team so there were some growing pains. we had to find the right process and people for the team
