Available PTO may not be as strong compared to other companies. Work from home flexibility was available, but at times the environment could feel isolating. Communication across departments was limited, and employees were not always informed when team members left the company or how responsibilities were reassigned. New processes and procedures were introduced, but at times the changes was not effectively passed down.
Workload increased a lot during close without additional staffing support. Concerns about this were brought up, but the response was usually pressure to get things done instead of improving processes. Extended hours were often expected every day of the week during close periods, including overnight if needed.
Management support could have been better when addressing issues that were raised. Management structure needs improvement, and each manager seemed to run their team differently with slightly different expectations and norms. At times, management responses to concerns shifted more toward documentation of employee work and deadlines rather than addressing underlying workload challenges.
The role did provide strong exposure to core accounting processes and was a good learning experience early on, but advancement opportunities were limited and pay was not very competitive for the workload.
The current CEO seems to be moving the company in a positive direction, but there are still management structure issues that affect day-to-day operations.
There were work from home options depending on the role. Anyone considering working here should take a close look at workload expectations, growth opportunities, and compensation before accepting a position.
