Pros

The company has some decent benefits. Everyone is friendly and there is a genuine "open door" policy. They're open to trying to fix issues.

Cons

They could certainly be better, considering there are zero in-office benefits anymore and the pay is significantly below the national average. Micro-management is an issue across the company—the vast majority of employees aren't allowed true autonomy in their jobs. Paired with the extremely low pay, it eventually leads to great employees leaving. If you ask about pay, you're told repeatedly, "this is an issue the company has *always* had." When the job ads claim they offer competitive pay, just assume they're competing against their own inadequate past pay brackets and not the nation's average. There really isn't a lot of room for promotions and because there is a severe lack of professional development, especially for managers, a lot of managers are self-taught, which leads to disastrous situations. A lot of employees need side hustles to afford to live and it doesn't seem to concern the important people.

Pros

- Good benefits, including 100% company-paid health insurance - Decent PTO and many company holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Years - Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the US - Nice coworkers - Fun office culture and perks, like free lunch and breakfast once per week, kitchen stocked with free snacks and drinks, foosball table, massage chair, casual dress code, happy hours, team outings, and more

Cons

- Way below average pay. Probably one of the main reasons why so many quality employees leave the company - Lack of urgency to replace employees who have resigned, usually causing the responsibilities of multiple people to be left for one person - Due to the nature of the digital media industry, team and company objectives can change at any time without warning - Unclear path for upward mobility - If you're actually able to get promoted into a team lead or management position, new manager training is pretty much non existent - The perks were nice when we all went to the office every day, but they don't really apply to those who work from home (which is almost all of us at this point)

Pros

This company really does put people first! I feel valued, heard and appreciated. There is also optimal work life balance. You are not over burdened with work, but do be prepared to give it your all! When you do, you succeed and so does your company. You can also tell that the people truly enjoy working here, give it their all and have fun with one another. Exceptionally grateful to have been hired by this awesome company.

Cons

I work remote, so my interactions are all Slack and video based. However, that's not really a con! Just a new way to work.
