Pros

Great work/life balance, excellent health benefits, on-site gym, near Wollaston Beach

Cons

Terrible communication and an unwillingness to listen to new ideas unless you're in senior management, resulting in low employee morale. It used to be a very family-oriented company, but in recent years, has become much less so.

Pros

Almost unbelievable benefits offered, and probably a few you didn't even know existed. Health insurance cost basically nothing compared to everywhere else. Management seems to care about the overall quality of life for the employees both inside and outside of work. Subsidize café, 8 hour work day (including lunch), free parking, friendly coworkers with a family-like environment, tuition reimbursement for insurance related coursework, and spacious work area. As long as you do your job well, you'll get a raise every year. The take-home pay seems to be a bit below average from what I've seen on here, but when you add up how you pay into the benefits it's about average as the company picks up most of the cost.

Cons

Because it's such a nice place to work and they care about the people they hire, upward mobility is pretty limited unless someone quits or retires. No one gets fired unless you make it obvious you want to be fired. So if they hire someone who does a poor job, then it's up to the others in the department to pick up the slack as they're not going anywhere; ever. Because of all this, there is an air of compliancy as working harder doesn't get you any further ahead. As long as you don't really mess up, you won't get fired. They need to hire a few more people as there isn't enough hours in the day to process your work flow, investigate everything properly, and call everyone you need to. Most management positions are filled from outside candidates so there appears to be a glass ceiling for as far as you can go. Management positions are limited as they're a small/medium sized business with little to no desire to expand their market share.
