The Gaslighting is Unreal

Pros

You work from home for $13/hr

Cons

It went completely downhill. There is insane favoritism, with a broken reward system that only favors the same handful of people. It’s micro managed by AI now and every word scrutinized while you desperately try to talk someone into transferring as to not lose your mediocre bonuses, because if you do you will only make $13/hr. Every week the owner and manager will tell you to keep it up, something is on the horizon, some new game to motivate you, etc. but every week gets worse than the one before. You spend all day with old leads, trying to overcome objections, and they act like it’s your fault for not convincing the poor old people to transfer to a licensed insurance agent. Any positive reviews you see here from the past year are from their favorites they’ve begged to leave reviews to hide how horrible this company has become. Do not work here, it won’t be around much longer anyway. It’s an unsustainable business in an AI run industry, and although they will try to convince you (especially around August) that you’re going to make a ton of money, it will be very very short lived and incredibly stressful.

We're sorry to hear that this has been your experience. A few things in this review don't align with our perspective, and we think it's important to provide some context. You've been with the company for more than three years, which means you've seen a tremendous amount of change. Not every change has been popular, and we understand that some employees have viewed those changes differently than others. That said, Quote Velocity is a performance-based environment. Bonuses, incentives, and advancement opportunities are tied to results and consistency, not favoritism. While employees may disagree with individual decisions, favoritism is not how our organization operates. The suggestion that management is constantly promising "something on the horizon" also overlooks the many initiatives that have been rolled out over the last several years. As for working older leads and handling objections, that is a normal part of the role. Our agents are responsible for identifying interested consumers, as well as those who may just need a bit more information to understand their needs, and connecting them with licensed benefit advisors. Not every conversation results in a transfer, and helping consumers understand their options is an important part of the job. We also disagree with the suggestion that positive employee reviews are somehow manufactured or requested to hide negative experiences. Like any company, we have employees with different opinions and different experiences. While we respect your perspective, it is difficult to reconcile the claim that the company has been in steady decline for years with the fact that you've remained a member of the team throughout that time. Reasonable people can disagree about the direction of the business, but we believe the picture painted here is incomplete. We appreciate your continued contributions and hope your experience improves moving forward.

Pros

The commision pay used to be great for everyone, now its only great for favored employees.

Cons

The favoritism is unreal at this company, unless you are in good with management you are not making money anymore. Most people get aged leads that lead to poor transferred calls. You get paid $13 an hour and commissions, with the fresh call leads being given out to the select favored employees its pretty much just working for that $13 an hour. They put an intense amount of pressure on employees to keep a certain call percentage in order to keep the commission they earned. They also keep people on different tier levels with the top tier being the level with the best calls and available hours to work, but it's only for managements favored people. They will tell you that the tier levels are performanced based, but based on alot of group comparison from other employees and myself , that was quickly confirmed a lie. They do daily performance bonuses which is awesome until you realize it's the same people every day. The gaslighting they do to try and make you believe that it's the employees problem that they are not doing well and you just have to try harder. The company seems like its not doing very well since they are letting many people go without warning. So all in all if you are considering this company, think long and hard if you can live off of $13 an hour. Would not recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we understand that not every employee will have the same experience, we disagree with several of the claims made in this review. Our tier system, call flow, and incentive opportunities are based on performance and business needs, not favoritism. Employees move up and down tiers based on results, and those expectations are communicated clearly. Like most performance-based call centers, compensation consists of an hourly wage plus commission opportunities. Many of our agents continue to earn strong commissions, and daily bonuses are awarded based on objective performance metrics, not personal relationships. Lead quality and call volume can fluctuate, which is something every company in this industry faces. When that happens, our focus is on coaching and helping employees improve their results while maintaining the standards necessary to serve our clients. This review also references staffing changes. Like many companies, business needs can change over time, and difficult decisions sometimes have to be made. Those decisions are never easy and are made with careful consideration of both operational needs and long-term business goals. We are committed to providing an environment where employees who show up, follow expectations, and perform accordingly have opportunities to succeed and grow.

Pros

No pros at all this place has took a turn for the worse

Cons

This job has become a gamble. Employees are treated well when they're making money for the company, but the moment production drops, management is quick to point fingers instead of addressing the real issues. In my experience, many of the problems within this company stem from Melissa's leadership and management style. Over the past six months, the company has taken a significant turn for the worse. Lead distribution and call flow often appear inconsistent, leaving some employees feeling they are not being given the same opportunities to succeed as others. Employees are treated like numbers rather than people. Many agents struggle with poor-quality leads and declining transfer opportunities, yet are still held to the same expectations and face termination when results fall short. Instead of addressing these concerns, management often places blame on employees. The workplace culture has become increasingly toxic and unprofessional. Favoritism, poor communication, and a lack of transparency have severely impacted morale. Many employees feel undervalued, disposable, and unsupported. Unfortunately, under Melissa's leadership, the company culture has deteriorated, and employee retention and morale have suffered. Unless major changes are made, I believe the company will continue to lose good employees and further damage its reputation. THEY ALSO GIVE FREE LUNCH TO THEIR AGENTS FOR GOOD REVIEWS

We're disappointed that your experience with Quote Velocity led you to feel this way. While we welcome honest feedback and are always looking for ways to improve, we do not believe this review accurately reflects the experience of the majority of our employees or the values of our organization. Our industry is performance-driven, and with that comes accountability at every level of the company. We work hard to provide agents with coaching, support, quality leads, and opportunities to succeed. At the same time, all employees are expected to meet performance expectations and uphold company policies and professional standards. We understand that not every employee will agree with every decision made by leadership. However, decisions regarding employment are never based on favoritism or personal preference. They are made based on business needs, performance, policy compliance, and the overall success of our team and clients. As for the claim regarding lunches and employee reviews, we occasionally provide meals, contests, and other forms of employee appreciation as a way to recognize the hard work our team puts in every day. We do not provide incentives in exchange for positive reviews and instead simply encourage employees to share their honest experiences. We remain committed to building a positive workplace, listening to feedback, and continuing to improve.
