Pros

Vision: Qurba has a huge vision that sets it apart from others. Our vision is to disrupt the advertising market for place managers. We are creating new ways for business owners and place managers to advertise their place to the mass audience. Qurba aims to enter into the media, offers, reviews, recruitment, events, e-commerce, and reservation business related to places on the long-run. Cutting-Edge Technology: At Qurba, we never use yesterday's technology. We work very hard to utilize today's and tomorrow's technologies to better serve our customers. From infrastructure, to UX design, development frameworks to agile product management, we strive to implement the bleeding-edge technology and use it in our products. Qurba aims to utilize technologies such Augmented reality, Virtual Reality, Blockchain, Beacons, and many more, to deliver a new user experience to our customers. Customer comes first: At Qurba, we put our user experience and satisfaction at the top of our business priorities. We conduct user interview and testing sessions to see how our users use our products, and enhance our product accordingly. A-Player Team: At Qurba, we strive to hire only the best. Currently, to be hired at Qurba, you would probably go through 3 to 4 interviews, to ensure only the best make it through our filtering process. Our team has tripled in size over the last 1 year. Content is king: - Being a data company, we understand that content is king, and that's why we decided to photograph the places ourselves, to ensure a high quality standard for our users. We currently have more than 600 places on our platform. Agile Product Management: At Qurba, we adopt agile methodologies and best-practices in our product development process. Our product goes through multiple cycles of research, design, development, customer feedback, and iteration cycles. We see change as a big part of our mantra Performance Management: We conduct monthly reviews to reward our best employees and elevate the performance of the team. We reward employees with quarterly bonuses, advanced trainings, office accessories, anything we can within our budget.

Cons

- We are targeting two different segments: the users of our applications and the place managers. We are working hard to gain traffic from users which would encourage more place managers to join our platform.

Pros

I used to work in a multinational company with a higher salary and so many employees where everything needs to be communicated through emails. It was a great experience for me to have an overview on what big companies do. However, in such companies you're responsible for a very small thing in a very big organization which has a negative impact on your learning curve. Then I moved to Qurba where I had much more responsibilities, and much more things to do and learn. Qurba is a beautiful company with a small number of friendly staff where most of the decisions are discussed and communicated in friendly meetings where everyone shows their input, and then we reach for a reasonable decision. It's like a beautiful small family that live together, struggle together (sometimes), and win together. Working in this place has taught me so many things. It taught me how to enjoy my job, and try to utilize everything I've learnt to make this entity rise and shine. Everyone in Qurba is helpful, trying to share their knowledge, and helping you with your difficult tasks. Technically, Qurba tries hard to work on the latest (stable) technologies, and make full use of them to have an entirely well engineered, robust, maintainable product. This approach requires you to learn something new everyday. The management strongly supports and engages this learning process. Which adds to you as an employee, as well as adding to the company, which makes it a reasonable win-win situation. Qurba's workplace is a decent one that is growing by time, every while new facilities are added to the office to make a better experience for the staff, and increase their productivity. Qurba has very well designed policies for attendance, involving the flexible hours system, as well as a leave policies to have well planned vacations that do not affect the work process. These policies are designed to provide the best experience for the staff, in a way that doesn't have a negative impact on the business.

Cons

I have been working in Qurba for 6 months now, and unfortunately I haven't discovered any of the cons yet. However, I might be updating this section whenever I find ones.

Pros

- Great opportunity to work on a unique product with different technologies - Awesome tools and great chances to acquire much knowledge from different business and integrations - Awesome team and a brilliant CEO - Very organized process - Much space to improvise, lead, learn and make mistakes - Management is flexible for time offs and personal leaves - Management doesn't hesitate to provide the needed resources for knowledge

Cons

- Management wears too many hats at 1 time - Sometimes everyone is involved in everything which costs time that can be invested in different things or on everyone's specialized scope - Not very agile, tend to work on waterfall basis which costs much time
