Professional, courteous environment
Pros
As a computer programmer, the pay was fair, but the culture was very supportive and professional. The people I worked with were all very personable and respectful. Training was hands-on with a seasoned veteran. Standard Operating Procedures were clearly spelled out, and acknowledged mistakes were generally forgiven. Telecommuting was supported. Best place I ever worked.
Cons
Work ebbed and flowed, sometimes it was very slow and then the challenge was to stay productive with billable hours even if those hours weren't there. Other times we'd get slammed and the expectation was to make the deadline even if it took 60-80 hours a week, but such workloads were rare. Application support often entailed taking phone calls at 2am, and over weekends.
