Pros

There frankly is nothing good about this job

Cons

They are completely unorganized. They act like this is the best company in the world and is growing exponentially, but then fire half their staff the next day. This company is absolutely going to dissolve. DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

Some great people, interesting product, good food in the London office

Cons

- Toxic environment - People are scared of speaking their minds just in case they'll get fired - Nobody listens to the users of the app: management makes decisions based on their own ego. Then blame team for poor outcomes. - Constant manipulation of employees, hidden information, picking favourites. - Constant change in direction and then blaming employees for not delivering on time. - Misogynistic behaviour, particularly coming from senior roles. - The only two ways of surviving this company are: 1. Be alpha and manage to be one of "the favourites", then you can basically do anything you want. Or 2. Just agree to everything senior roles say, don't try to argue if something doesn't make sense, and don't point out things that evidence their poor management. - If you try and talk these things through, they completely gaslight you. -This madness only sustains itself, because they make employees believe they all own the company, and they will be incredibly successful one day, almost as if they were building the new Facebook. This way people resist and are willing to have a terrible work/life balance. My advice: You might as well find a nice company to spend your days at.

Pros

You will learn about different restaurants.

Cons

- CEO is abusive, and all upper management are expected to be bullies like him. - Sexism (see examples below) - Barely livable salary. When I started, I was offered EXACTLY HALF of the men in my same position, doing the same work, who were the same age and had the same experience. - A company view that an advanced degree is a liability. They do NOT seek to use your education and skills; rather they expressly want you to dumb yourself down. The only people promoted or advanced are men, regardless of experience. - Blind Obedience. Employees are expected to: move to a different city with a few days' notice and no incentives; participate in inane group chats with co-workers (otherwise be questioned and criticized); do not ask questions when the CEO says something vague, contradictory, or stupid; do not challenge their practices despite their doing zero market research in your city coming from another country.
