Pros

A pay check....and vending machines. Some people are cool there you will work with. You get to find out why they can never fill openings even with referral bonuses. Stay away from this job

Cons

Unorganized (blind leading the blind). You have every department telling you different things. No training at all. High turnover rate. Sales managers with almost 0 sales experience and is there for pretty much excel sheets and to complain about things.

I'm not sure how to respond to your comments, there aren't any facts behind your apparent anger. It seems it is best that we parted ways. We wish you success in your future endeavors.

Flexibility

Pros

The best thing about RFI is that it's flexible enough that employees can stretch and get promoted or do lateral transfers that line up with what they want to do. A lot of people who have been here for decades started out doing something different and have ended up in roles they love. RFI also pays pretty well. I really like my team and our manager.

Cons

Even though construction is a conservative industry in general, RFI seems out of touch. Many, if not most, employees could do their jobs remotely or with flexible schedules, yet everyone is required to be in the office for eight hours, except for upper management. The CEO also requires Fox News to play in the receptionist area. Besides politics being inappropriate in the workplace in general, that particular slant of politics feels wildly out of place in the bay area. RFI wants to be seen as a high tech company but has trouble embracing much of that culture.

Thank you for your feedback and yes we have many people who work flexible hours and from home. The type of position can impact the ability to effectively work remote. If you feel your position would lend itself to working remotely; I encourage you to work with your manager to see if something can be worked out. The news is the news and whether we chose FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, or something else somebody will be offended. As someone who was born and raised in the Bay Area I try not to pass judgement on others' choices and I would hope you feel the same about acceptance and encouragement to those around you. RFI wants to be seen as a company that provides a strong opportunity for our people and serves our customers with integrity and respect. As you pointed out we "pay pretty well" and strive to have a positive environment. Again thank you for your suggestions and please seek out your manager to work on flexibility to your schedule if possible.

Awful

Pros

They have a decent benefits package.

Cons

Poor management. Incomplete scopes of work. Parts not ordered. Sets the technician up to fail by incompetent engineering and setup of jobs. Lots of "good ole boy" favoritism for training and advancement. Techs with less training and skills are often given preferred access to training or advancement in company due to relationship with management.

Thank you for your feedback. It appears to not have been a good fit for you. We strive to be fair to all and will take a look at our program to ensure we are meeting training needs, etc. Thank you for acknowledging our benefits program. We have worked hard to provide a good program for all our people in all locations. I've tried to communicate my door is open and unfortunately you didn't reach out to me with your concerns. I wish the best for you as you continue on in your career.
