      A good nuts & bolts firm that is short on design and long on fundamentals.

      Pros

      A very fundamental production company that gets the project built without any bells or whistles. You come away with good knowledge of what a developer is looking for and can tailor a project to get it through city reviews and built. Once CD's begin, one has a lot of room to work as the design partner takes a huge step away. The project managers/Associates are great.

      Cons

      Very little design goes on - the firm's "style" is dated and never evolves. Easy to get pigeon-holed and you feel for the people that get stuck on SCA projects.

      Pros

      Working environment is friendly. You will learn new stuff from some project managers and partners. Benefit is okay.

      Cons

      No ARE exams reimbursement. They only give you time off to take exams. If you are junior, dont expect they will ask you to have input into the project design. They just need you to draw CAD and revit nicely.

      There are no pros in working for this company.

      Cons

      Principals are ready to retire and do not actively manage the company. They rely on existing contracts with the city agencies. As a result there have been tremendous turnover due to low or no raises in the company for years even before the pandemic. Low margin of profit does not allow for sufficient stuffings so it leads to remaining stuff being overloaded and underpaid. Marketing simply does not exist in this company. Outdated poorly written RFPs are sent out which leads to absence of profitable or exciting projects.
