Pros

There are no pros for this place.

Cons

I worked for RTR for almost a year. Their turnover rate is huge. They micro manage everything you do. Treat woman unfair and disrespectful. They treat any non Anglo poorly. They let you go for unethical reasons. I almost sewed them. Because I have recordings of my discharge and my Drug test. They lied to u employement. But I proved them wrong. Still got unemployment. You know your getting fired when they no longer sign off on your offers. You get called into Mike Smith’s office. And they send you off to get a UA. Also, when you leave they will tell unemployment it’s because your were menacing or dirty UA. Or your sales were low. Etc.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your time in sending them. We want to get better as a company and this type of feedback can help us do just that. We value and appreciate all our employees. We would not support a work environment that is disrespectful, unfair, or unethical. We encourage employees to talk with their manager or Human Resources to resolve concerns and issues as they arise. We operate under multiple laws that require what we do to be accurate and timely. To do this we, like all employers, have to review the work that is done. It is to ensure the quality of the work. Finally, we do not make unemployment decisions. These are strictly in the purview of the Employment Department. We appreciate the time that you worked here and thank you for your comments.

Pros

As someone who's worked at this company for a decent amount of time... it's for good reason. Many companies treat you like you're just another number; this company actually cares about you. These are good, honest, and genuine people. The owner would literally give you the shirt off his back. Upper management does and is willing to give people a chance to prove themselves. The pay is good. Nice amount of PTO. Benefits are decent. Hours are convenient. Management is understanding and will work with you. There's a lot more I could say too on why you should work here but at the end of the day this company is different from the rest that I've worked at. They just... they truly want to see you succeed. This is a place you can grow a long-lasting career in and do something meaningful that you can be proud of.

Cons

Honestly not too many come to mind... we literally got paid to watch Star Wars at work with a catered lunch on May the Fourth. It doesn't really get much better than that. For real though... work is work. You've got to put the time and effort in to be successful. You're expected to show up on time, turn in quality work, be professional, communicate effectively etc. You know, the standard stuff. Not really a con. I honestly can't think of any that I would consider a true con.

Pros

None spring to mind. I am sure there are some pros, but they're grossly overshadowed by the cumulative dominance of the cons.

Cons

The overall culture is stunningly horrible. Management takes zero accountability for their complete lack of guidance, training and (most of all) arrogance. Systems in place to inform of what to do and what you're doing wrong, but zero emphasis on how they can effectively assist in those tasks. Demoralizing, downright rude and arrogant management who seem to take pride in their ability to do so without any accountability due to the fact that the company's hierarchy is built upon nepotism. Comission is regularly hindered by the fact that at any time (generally at the end of the month when it's too late to do anything about it) they can randomly and dramatically increase sales goals to make achieving them completely unattainable. Worst commission structure in the history of sales. They make a common practice out of kicking their employees when they are down rather than boosting them to a level in which they will be successful and the result is an atrocious turnover rate. Outdated CRM. No line between systems and processes. Terrible insurance, PTOVwell below industry standard. The list is exhausting. Terrible company. Run, dont walk away.

Thank you! Your comments led to a review and update to our commission process, PTO structure, and training for new employees. We are sure there is more to be done and we will continue our quest to find those areas where we can improve. How a manager executes their responsibilities and how they treat their employees is critical to a company’s success. We agree that a manager’s job is to inspire and support. To do this well, manager’s need training and feedback. I hope you brought your perception’s about culture and management forward so they could be addressed as we would not condone the type of management behavior you state existed when you were here. Please see our comments on other reviews that address some of your other points. We are, as you know, a family owned and run business. That said, we do expect all to work under the same expectations. Again, we appreciate your comments. They helped us be a better company.
