Pros

Not many any more, whatever positives used to exist have been swept away by a struggling management team at a company with a bleak economic outlook.

Cons

In the past 2 years the company has gotten rid of all senior engineering leaders and is now running with a skeleton crew. Management is constantly chasing a unicorn dev team without actually knowing what they want from it, just that "we want something different". Do not believe the HR hype about "taking care of the staff". Termination pay packages are only 3-weeks for staff that have been there years. If you go at them with lawyers, they will threaten to waste your money away in court. The HR team contradicts the ESA in multiple ways yet shows no concern when this is pointed out.

Pros

Interesting industry and product. Learned a lot about RVs and marketplaces.

Cons

- The company believes they are still a startup because they are not profitable. After 8 years, there are only so many excuses as to why the company can't seem to make any money. - Can't figure out the general basics of working - poor onboarding if you're in a technical role, a huge mess of so-called documentation, lack of strategy for scaling and growth, no structure for career development, and constant lack of basic communication (no follow ups or summaries of meetings???). - 3 rounds of layoffs in the past 12 months. Seems like the company can't shake the trajectory they're headed towards. - Low morale and poor job security - felt like a game of survivor. No one is safe and being a favourite can play a role in your ability to stay. - Office culture is weak - snacks, coffee, and occasional socials can only go so far. Presence in the office is more to justify the need to pay rent for the office space. The shared spaces tend to get dirty since it seems like people don't care to clean up after themselves.
