Pros

Snacks are nice…that’s about it, and they even became as cheap as possible in that regard. I will also say, they have a great way of making you not notice the toxicity for a while, but then the layers will be inevitably peeled back. It’s cool to have a group of people you’re trauma bonded with who share similar sentiments and horror stories.

Cons

First off all of the positive reviews here or any other place are fake and heavily coerced. You can tell by how many positive reviews came in such a short timespan. Instead of improving the company, they will rather attempt to hide the truth by overloading glassdoor with fake positive reviews. BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! I’d know this because the Founder (Dutch Mendenhall) said word for word on a company call, that “if you haven't already gotten your money shackles book and done your review right, I, I am literally telling you you won't work here” (I have the video) while sitting right next to the other Founder (Amy Vaughn) who is extremely verbally abusive, and also upper management will follow up and call you out to let you now you’re on the verge of being fired for not spending your own money leaving a fake review (FYI, he did not even write the book himself). There also seems to be substance abuse involved with upper management. Accounting is a crap show and most accountants will leave after seeing behind the curtain; they also seem to be commingling funds and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Everything about the company is fake and embellished to maintain a certain image. You will never have any semblance of a sense of security working here (which is clearly the intent). You will get fired for no reason at all, and for legal purposes they will offer you hush money in the form of a severance to ensure you don’t sue for wrongful termination. You will be apart of a never ending carousel where you’ll be sucked dry and tossed to the side. I know someone that got fired and the company’s reasoning was to “set an example” to light a fire under other workers (fear tactics) right after this person was promoted (promotions are rare). Also, there have been times where people uproot their life and move across the country for the company only to be fired shortly after. The company is fueled by nepotism so not only will you have to focus on your job, you’ll have to play politics as well, so if you aren’t apart of that “family” or friends of the founders, then good luck. If you are, feel free to treat people however, do whatever, (or no work at all). You will feel left out and isolated especially when it comes to certain privileges. You will never see a pay increase no matter what and they will look at you crazy for having the audacity to ask and you will be dissed on company calls by the founder. If you get a sign-on bonus, or any assistance you will have to fight tooth and nail to get it. Broken promise after broken promise as they mean absolutely nothing here. The better you do, the more they clamp down on you (the founders wife felt comfortable enough to tell employees where they HAD TO eat their lunch, also the COO is an absolute control freak; think an extra 10 hours per week and someone checking off your timing and attendance like school kids). Things change at the drop of a hat with no regard for the employees. The schedule went from Hybrid, to 5 days in-office 9am to 4pm, to 9am to 6pm all within the span of a month or so (certain people did not have to abide by the change obviously). Unlimited PTO was taken away and if you worked less than a year you only get 5 days, which being sick will count towards. There was pushback about the sick days counting after someone came to work extremely sick with their sick child as well, which the Founder recanted verbally just for HR to reaffirm that being sick will indeed count as PTO later on. The Founder even made a joke basically stating that you’re lucky if you even make it a year here. There will be many jokes about being fired. This company celebrates evicting people from their homes. This place will take a heavy toll on your mental health and any good habits you have outside of work will cease to exist, you will become a culture-less robot who only produces for the company. You will be given impossible tasks and deadlines where you can’t win no matter what. You have to screenshot and document all communication because they will say one thing, and after you do it you get scolded and told that you were directed to do something else (this is an extremely common occurrence). You will then be reprimanded for bringing up documented interactions to prove your case. It’s a lose-lose. After you’re done here, you will need to detox from all of the trauma. I realized this is getting lengthy as I can go on forever, but you get the message, save your mental and go somewhere else if possible, if you are hired, start looking for better opportunities IMMEDIATELY (unless you’re apart of the ‘cool crowd’). You’d be surprised how bad a job could actually be, but this company embodies the stereotypical toxic culture, but worse!

Pros

None at all. None whatsoever. RUN, RUN, RUN!

Cons

I joined the small Exton office with high hopes, initially experiencing positive aspects like effective teamwork, clear communication, and a laid-back work atmosphere. However, the situation took a turn for the worse. As the office expanded, the director of operation's micromanagement became severe, creating an environment where dissent was strongly discouraged. Those who have voiced concerns about her leadership style have mysteriously departed from the company, further perpetuating a culture of fear and silence. Your job security hinges solely on maintaining silence, fulfilling your responsibilities, and hoping to earn her favor. They've let go of valuable employees due to her influence, yet they retain staff members who struggle with their responsibilities simply because they refrain from questioning her. The staff engages in constant gossip behind each other's backs, and the individual serving as the HR representative at this location is eccentric. She appears to crave validation from others to such an extent that she is willing to go to any lengths, saying and doing anything to be perceived as well-informed. There is a widespread lack of trust in both her and the leadership of this office. The Vice President is rarely present, and when he is, his communication is often confusing and circular. Despite lacking expertise in real estate, he holds the VP position due to his brother being the CEO. The director and the VP, who happen to be married (a potential conflict of interest), collectively earn over $300k. Yet, they express discontent when employees advocate for a living wage. They fabricate property values instead of relying on recent appraisals. Additionally, the bank accounts consistently show low or negative balances. It's highly concerning. They continue acquiring new properties but neglect to improve the ones they already own. Employees received no year-end or holiday bonuses, yet they were expected to purchase luxury-brand gifts to present to them to create the illusion of adoration from their staff at the most recent summit. They are no longer compliant with SEC regulations and have lost their rating from the Better Business Bureau. I no longer disclose my workplace to others. There's no sense of pride left. It's clear to me that this is a scam. Those who are still here are actively seeking new employment, fearing the possibility of arriving one day to find the lights off and the doors closed for good.

Pros

The only pro was the salary

Cons

Toxic work culture. Poor PTO policy. Unorganized company structure. No set jobs-they constantly change them or make the up as they go. Absolutely no work like balance. Poor upper management.
