Pros

None that i can remember.

Cons

Very bad culture in finance. Getting bad to worst because only take care of male staffs. Preferred male staff over female, that is why dir got no female. Good and capable female staff always get blame for things not under their responsibility. Recently a staff who is well respected for her work, knowledge and willingness to go beyond her duties to help got scolded ooenly in office, witnessed by most staff for things not under her and not done by her. It was such a sad she was blamed and scoled openly till she criede. Felt bad as this should not have happened at anywhere, very bad culture. Some staff got the voice recording, who to whistleblow to? HR not bother, very sad mental wellness was not taken care of for such big listed company. That also explained why the high turnover.

Pros

Colleagues are generally nice and helpful. A handful of them are most willing to teach, however some are not so friendly. Food around the office is cheap but not much choices as most of closed down during the pandemic. I will only miss the people here as I have made some good friends that we will still continue to contact each other even though we have left.

Cons

No general SOP to follow. Do it your own style based on your own experience, if no experience then you will need to figure it out on your own. No history of correspondences as turn over is super high for the department. Not much handover or people to teach you as person already left a long time ago and you are expected to learn it on your own. Everyone new is expected to take on the job as soon as you land in your first day in the company. You will also need to copy everyone in your department in the emails you sent. Don't need to copy everyone that is not related, you are just flooding the person's email and causing the person to be unproductive. Work will always increase and become your “baby” when you volunteer to do for a certain period of time to cover someone else. Work is super duper not properly distributed. Too many redundant dinosaur reports to fill in to record your daily activities in excel. In such times, who the hell uses excel for recording?! Everything is still using excel to record, so your excel skills must be super duper powerful in order to perform in this office. Office is super old and lots of papers lying around. Mouldy carpet, so it's best not to take off your shoes and walk around. Windows are closed as management has put numerous cabinets for storage against the windows, so in case of mishap, it’s difficult to escape and everyone will be trapped. Office is super cramp with everyone sitting elbow to elbow against each other. There is no privacy when you conference call with clients, everything you say is heard. Worse thing is computer is super old and hangs whenever you open too much data on your computer. It takes also a long time to restart, thus these little nitty gritty things eats into your time and makes you overall not productive.
