Pros

Founders have a silly and self-effacing way about them…for example, they show drawings of themselves on horseback together riding over a rainbow during company meetings. Overall, a lot of nice, good people work at ragnarok.

Cons

Founders don’t seem to have a good handle on how to properly grow, run, and maintain a healthy business…or how to properly treat their employees. They just recently laid off 20% of their workforce, which is unfortunate but seemingly fine on the surface (sh&t happens right?), but when you take into account that… 1) they didn’t offer the ppl they laid off even 1 single day of severance (I’ve never heard of such a thing and it’s completely not cool to do this to people), 2) they churn through customers at an alarmingly high rate and don’t seem to understand the importance of keeping customers happy and maintaining a good reputation in their industry …it becomes clear that these guys just don’t know what they’re doing.

Some Great People, Many Horrible Processes

Pros

Some diverse clientele and decent benefits.

Cons

There is no true leadership. The CEOs are best buds who truly love their company but have no intrinsic authority, composure, or experience when it comes to leading people (not just managing, leading). If they wise up, they will hire experienced professionals to take charge of the key operations within the business and fall back into roles they are truly passionate about and capable of executing at a high level. Not everyone is wired to lead a complex business with close to 100 people on the payroll, so no shame in that. I wish them the best as they grow in their roles as agency founders.
