Pros

Nice office and some nice people.

Cons

Worst management you could imagine. CEO and MD/Partner are completely backwards in their thinking and entirely un-open to suggestions/changes. They view staff as another way to line their pockets by paying minimum wage and setting entirely unreachable targets given the state of the economy. The whole job is target based which is to be expected in Business Development but multiple colleagues have reported sleepless nights as the threat of you losing your job at the touch of a hat is reiterated daily. Ran by men for men, no grasp of mental health or how to speak to young women which is especially surprising as both owners have daughters and I can't imagine they would want anyone speaking to them the way they speak to women. I would strongly advise that you don't work here if you are a woman and considering it is an entirely white male team now, not sure you would be attracted to the role in the first place. Talk less of the micro-aggressions I have seen and outright racism I have overheard, disregarding black candidates on multiple occasions as they didn't like their 'attitude', putting a white hand on their homepage as a new marketing graphic in 2021 in the height of BLM, ignoring employee suggestions to speak on BLM etc. There is potential for this company to be great if staff were valued more, they learnt A LOT about ethics and morality as well as diversity and inclusion and perhaps listened to the young audience they employ once in a while. The MD should not be the manager for the team as he has no regard for mental health/wellbeing and doesn't know how to communicate. He consistently makes everything about private school and boarding school and belittles people as being 'common' if they don't follow his usual background check of having rich parents in some capacity or on the other hand undermines your 'paid for education' when you aren't performing well - making everyone super uncomfortable even if you do fit the private school quota. Considering the way they continue to mistreat, threaten, condemn and manage staff I am extremely surprised they haven't yet been reported. Worst months of my adult life. Oh all the good reviews are written by Rainmaker, I was asked on multiple occasions to leave a good review after a bad one propped up but obviously refused.

Pros

A great place to start, and possibly stay if you enjoy the fast-paced world of new business consulting. As a graduate, it really does offer a solid platform to learn about a large variety of marketing / digital / creative disciplines due to such a diverse client portfolio. It also equips you with a great hunger to drive new business growth wherever your career takes you. It's a tough job, but if you put the effort in you will certainly be rewarded. Exposure to senior agency-side stakeholders is also an added benefit when building confidence in meetings.

Cons

It's a social place, so the hangovers were punishing at times!
