Pros

* Drinks, food; * Adjustable desks (for some employees); * Remote work; * People friendly (more than 40 hours are not appreciated); * Transparent company goals; * Good general and company-specific workshops;

Cons

* Cheap open office, a small place with many people in it (very loud, active noice cancellation headphones does not help); * Software development processes(planning, estimation, handling of unexpected, continuous delivery) are very messy; * Old code base, a very slow pace in improving it; * Very strong hierarchy (decisions about small and medium size improvements/changes end up on CTO desk); * People are not used to receiving critic; * Many decisions were taken without any reason. This practice yet there.

Pros

- Great Engineering VP ( best I've ever had ) - Great HR ( here called Talent and Culture ), really responsive and keen to help - Raisin invests a LOT of money in Team Building with internal and external events. - Free Snacks and Beer ( other drinks as well ) - An awesome budget for Conferences /Training - Good salary compensation - Awesome setup ( anything you want ) ( usually last model of MacBook Pro ) - The company is investing time/money to get rid of tech debt

Cons

- Lack of trust on developers to make decisions... Everything ends on the CTO desk. - Lack of good POs and Scrum masters - Really bad legacy code around - The development infra ( servers to test your stuff ) is not good and will make you crazy sometimes. - Poor deployment strategy... Not continuous and tedious. - Some really bad/unprepared leaders

Company has Taken a Turn for the Worse

Pros

1. The company offers a generous learning and development budget, providing great opportunities to enhance skills and grow professionally through courses, certifications, and workshops. 2. There are occasional travel opportunities, allowing for face to face collaboration with colleagues in different locations and the chance to experience new environments while on the job.

Cons

I've been with this company for sometimes and it used to be a great place to work . Unfortunately , things have drastically changed, and the company has lost its sense of teamwork and collaboration . it feels like a completely different place now. We've been forced back into the office with little regard for personal circumstances of the flexibility we used to enjoy. This decision was made with out any meaningful discussion or consideration of employees concerns. The culture has shifted to one of competition , backstabbing and negativity, with colleagues constantly talking poorly about each other. The environment is now toxic, and there's no longer any sense of camaraderie or support among the team. To make matters worse, metrics and expectations are constantly changing -sometimes daily - and the changes are not communicated clearly. Employees are often held accountable for metrics they weren't even aware had changed, leading to confusion and frustration. Overall, this company has taken a turn for the worse, and it's disheartening to see how it has devolved. If you value a collaborative, supportive work environment, I would think twice before considering this company.
