Terrible workplace

Pros

Off at 3 pm on Fridays

Cons

Terrible work environment. Incredibly disorganized. Terrible values and ethics. Lots of copyright infringements. Underpaid and overworked. Off at 3 pm on Fridays but you have to be in the office no later than 8 am during the week so really, you're working 40hrs a week no matter what. Extremely strict on time, if you miss a half hour of work you have to sign a form explaining why and when you'll make up the hours. No company culture, people eat at their desks, not welcoming to new employees. "Sink or swim environment" ( quoted by management ) Everyone leaves late, rarely do you finish at 5 pm. No work/life balance

Pros

Off at 3 on Fridays (but with all the overtime you put it it’s not much of a pro really...). Group health insurance (which you must use to make it worth it because you can’t opt out)

Cons

This company has terrible management and leadership which is undoubtedly the reason for the insane turnover. Tons of negativity, micromanaging and other behavior typical of toxic management. No work culture, people eat lunch at their desks. The workload and timelines are completely over the top which makes it a work culture where overworking is seen as a badge of honor rather than what it really is : exploitation. Everyone is stressed out, overworked and underpaid. They never pay overtime even when they expressly ask you to stay late. They treat people who work for them the same way they treat their factories in China; like cogs in a machine. There are no annual raises even to cover inflation and no Christmas bonuses. There is no real opportunity for growth or career advancement here. If you perform well you won’t be rewarded for it just given more and more work. Do yourself and favor and look for something better.
