Pros
rand* hires talented, nice people. The work is challenging and interesting. Great place to build your skills and make great connections. Among coworkers, there is an atmosphere of camaraderie and support.
Cons
The hierarchy is disorganized and confusing. Leadership is dysfunctional, unfocused, and at times abusive to employees, particularly admin staff. No clear set expectations or feedback from management. No employee education or training. For a woman-owned company, it is a surprisingly hostile environment for women (no paid maternity leave, ignorant comments from male staff). People are routinely pushed out and belittled by leadership. It is a revolving door because people get sick of the toxic work environment. No one likes to fear that they will be yelled at for no reason. Lay-offs and firings with no warning. Lack of communication between management and employees. Feels corporate and impersonal for such a small company, and it is because leadership does not value all employees and is repeatedly demeaning to staff. New ideas and creativity are not welcome here.
