Take a job here for a steep learning curve

Pros

You can do what you think will bring value and no one stops you from that. Learning and development are encouraged.

Cons

Managing MD's perceptions as they are heavily clouded by his friendships in the office and waver quite a lot based on how the revenue is going for the month. It's called a global scale-up but it operates very much like a mom-and-pop business. Lack of strategy, more focus on short-term wins. An unhealthy work-life balance is rewarded here.

Pros

- The best games studio I've ever worked at. - Management care about the staff and take studio culture seriously. They responded well to the pandemic - Work life balance is great -Dev teams really care about making fun, charming, high-quality, accessible games. - Not very diverse, but we are trying hard to be better -Alot of opportunity for career growth

Cons

-The studio is out in the middle of nowhere. No public transportation available - We don't get some of the best Microsoft benefits because of Rare's arrangement with Microsoft -Don't always use contractors in the right way.
