Pros

Has competent BIM specialists and IT. Flexible work hours. Lots of in-house training. Some interesting project types. Opportunity for growth.

Cons

RATIO says it values employees safety, yet it is requiring its employees to go back to the office in the middle of pandemic. Despite many other firms not requiring their employees to work in the office, RATIO is putting pressure on its employees to return to work. The highest number of COVID-19 cases per day in many of its office locations still did not deter RATIO from forcing its employees to return to an open office environment with employees sitting less than 6ft apart.

Pros

RATIO has been around for 20+ years, but I get the sense that this company is ready to explode in a big way. Two new locations in the last 3 years (Chicago + Raleigh) and both offices have grown like wildfire. The firm really seems to be hitting a critical mass that could vault us into the big time. There is a great collection of talent here that is producing some really exciting work, and doing so in a way that makes you love coming to work everyday! Solid compensation, good people, great inter-office collaboration, and some of the best company culture I've ever experienced. I spent many years at a big corporate firm that treated people as if they should be lucky to have a job. Coming to RATIO, I have been blown away by how much the company seems to care about its employees. They invest in their staff in several ways, including dynamic office spaces with contemporary technology, "culture" events, professional development and education, and an overall fantastic work environment. The company prides itself on being close-knit and a place that people want to work at that is certainly true. I've never even been to the other 3 offices, but already feel like I'd be right at home there as well, just with how fantastic everyone is to deal with. Firm leadership is fantastic and does a great job keeping everyone informed. Also puts a priority on good corporate citizenship, closing all of the offices for "days of service" where the entire office goes out and gives back to its community in some way. Well structured compensation and benefit packages, ample vacation and holiday time, and lots of little perks like catered lunch, paid time for office "culture" and other things.

Cons

Workload is a little lighter than I'm used to, though that's more likely a result of having many capable people around me instead of having to be "the one" at my last location, so work is much more evenly distributed
