Pros
The teachers here are dedicated to their students, regularly putting in 10-12 hour days. Teachers become experts at classroom management skills and balancing administration and parents.
Cons
Administration is shockingly ineffective at managing students (who do what they want with zero consequences) and teachers (who receive very little actual support but constant meetings to deliver aphorisms and motivational speeches). Violent students are retained so that the school can receive funding, while at-risk English language learners are placed in classrooms with teachers who have no ELL training or history. Generally speaking, REALM has a bad reputation among local schools.
