Pros

- high pace 'startup' environment - you will wear many hats - some of the people you work with will be great

Cons

- Developers are protected at all costs and will never be disciplined for their difficult to work with attitudes - The majority of your colleagues are not from London and therefore have a different mindset on good salary - There is unprofessional gossiping at every corner - There was no ethnic diversity (not sure about now) - There are punitive rules and processes to follow, until there is an emergency and then everything goes out the window

Pros

- The company carefully hires like minded people which makes the day-to-day work really enjoyable. The tech team-leads are approachable, very intelligent and resourceful. As an engineer you learn a lot by working close with them. - The codebase (especially backend) has improved incredibly and mature in the the last few years. - You are independent and flexible in your work. You can take on opportunities to solve challenges that help you grow and be involved in all stages of a products lifecycle . - You get quick gratification from releasing work often that gets used by huge brands. - Events, socials, parties and charity work organised by Red Ant are always good fun and help bring the team together. - Amazing office in central London but also the opportunity to work remote.

Cons

- There isn't a clear career progression framework so, as an engineer you might be unclear how you can progress in your career within the company. - The engineering team often gets to do the heavy lifting even when there is a failure in the management.
