A family run business that is stuck in the dark age.
Very poor benefits include two weeks of PTO only after a FULL YEAR of employment, 2 sick days (was taken down from 3), bare minimum paid holidays. Any unpaid time off must first be used as vacation time, without exception.
A strict 8-5 workday with no paid lunch. Men are required to wear a button up and tie even though we never interact with clients. Salaried employees are required to clock-in, no options for overtime. Up until recently there were no remote options but even now they are extremely strict on its usage.
Health insurance is poor, high deductible and below average coverage. Not their fault but it's another negative. Paychecks are once a month so employees making less than national median could find this difficult to balance.
Owner does not seem interested in branching into new industries or reevaluating his own business practices. A company on the decline until the owner retires and hands it off to better equipped leaders.
