Pros

Working at RRI is only better than being unemployed. That is honestly the only pro that I can come up with. That's very sad!

Cons

Managers aren't qualified to tie their shoes...never mind run a business or manage employees. Employees are a number to them, not real people with thoughts and ideas.

We take employee feedback seriously. We conduct formal periodic surveys of employees to gather anonymous feedback to help management address business and cultural issues. Additionally, we have an open-door policy across management including the CEO. We hope you had the opportunity to utilize these channels for expressing your concerns prior to your departure.

Pros

As a risk control consultant, you work from home. If you are new to insurance risk surveys, then RRI might be a good place to start.

Cons

Compensation on the low end, usually flat rate. Their hourly compensation rate has not changed for years while the cost of living has. They require you to take their on-line training but won't pay you for your time. Who does that?

We are sorry that you didn't have a better experience working with us. It is true, there is a lot of competition in the risk control space and the insurance market has been over capitalized for years causing increased competition and pricing pressures on insurance premiums and service providers. We respectfully disagree with your assessment as a low end vendor. We service middle market insurance risks with comprehensive reports. performed by experienced field consultants These are not drive-by, quick, low-end inspections. Our work is not compensated hourly. Fees for each assignment are negotiated with the consultant. As for training, we hire experienced consultants and do not provide risk control training, we expect them to already be skilled. Perhaps you are referring to the 20 minute training module for our website.

Pros

Compensation per inspection is a little higher than what other national insurance inspection companies are willing to pay for your services.

Cons

When I signed on with this company I was promised plenty of work which was not true. If your looking to live comfortably from the volume of work that they send you then you better start heading to the grocery store and stock up on plenty of pork n beans because this is all that you will be able to afford to eat with the money you will make with this company. There are plenty of other companies in this business that might not pay as well but at least that will send you enough work to keep you busy and you will make some money.

We try to balance fees to consultants and pricing to clients to provide value to our customers and great service. Unfortunately, this sometimes means we may have less work in one area of the country versus another. Our turnover of consultants is below average for our industry because we tend to pay better. We also offer a more sophisticated product for our clients compared to our competitors. While there are other companies that have more work. It is usually lower paying for more effort. We are sorry that we were unable to meet your work volume expectations.
