Pros
- they paid surprisingly well for an entry level position - a lot of the non-management level employees, who have been there for years, are extremely friendly and you can learn a lot from them as to how to grow your career in the business world. Most of them will give you advice as to how you can succeed at Reily or wherever.
Cons
- Hostile work environment with micromanagement from multiple angles. - I took this corporate job right out of college and immediately regretted it. - I was assigned to work on various projects that seem to repeat themselves with a very clear lack of direction of what was needed or how it was to be attained. - I would often ask questions and end up with more than I originally started with. - Working for this company was like being in the movie Office Space. It's has a very old school corporate feel that limits upward movement especially if you are female. As a white male, this was quite apparent early on by simply looking at the previous and current managers. - I was only given 10 PTO days for my first two years and five of those could only be allocated after reaching six months of employment. Every other company I've worked for has provided at least 15-20 days off excluding holidays. If you are interviewing with them, I would highly advise you ask about this before committing to them.
