Not a Functional or Professional Work Environment

Business outlook

Pros

Some employees are helpful and kind.

Cons

Poorly managed. Work environment is toxic in numerous ways with management and certain cliquey techs often engaging in bullying behavior towards other employees, with behaviors including gossiping and scapegoating. No implemented system for taking breaks; employees have been warned about "sitting down" during breaks, resulting in employees eating in the lab while working, a clear safety violation. Workload is not managed efficiently, resulting in some employees being chronically overburdened and others with free time. Work life balance is non-existent, with techs required to be on call while hardly being compensated for their time. No job security–numerous employees have been fired without notice or forewarning due to the absence of effective training protocols.

Cliquey Circus

Pros

The pay and benefits are decent.* Nice bathrooms and break room.

Cons

*-this was included above in the “pro” section because it is all contingency based on popularity apparently and not on merit… Due to the clique environment, the workplace becomes very nauseatingly toxic. It is unfortunate, because this will cause good employees with excellent qualities and superb productivity to be either bypassed or leave willingly. At first clique environment appears superficial and non-maleficent. Eventually, it becomes apparent how troubling this situation can be. Despite the multitude of employees’ (either past or present) efforts to keep to one self and focus on work, inevitably one will succumb to the squadron there. Management is a complete circus. Those in positions of leadership, commonly engage in qualities that a leader would not invoke, such as gossiping/ ridiculing employees’ personal lives, disclosing personal medical history of employees and other members of leadership as well as openly discussing work performance (or lack there of, of employees of past or present) all are brought to light. At this company you will find yourself micromanaged by said leadership personnel. If you are not part of said clique, you will not be able to engage in normal work activities. Those who are not part of this squad are publicly ostracized regularly. Warning to those who attempt to question the status quo or decline to participate in this blatant display of workplace bullying as this will in turn result in your job security being threatened & your wages to be deducted.

Pros

At first the boss and group lead will treat you like a friend.

Cons

There is no communication here. They do not care about quality only quantity. You can eat and drink in the laboratory, this is because they do not allow sitting down in break room. You do not clock out for lunch which leads them to believe you do not need a break ever. Poor management. Very small business mindset. Poorly ran LLC. Fraudulent incorrect taxing on every paycheck. Very poor business.
