Pros

Met alot of good co workers in production. Location of building is easy access from interstate. Drink machines stay full, and bathrooms stay clean and supplied!

Cons

Revolving door atmosphere for employment, people getting shot in the range, not worth $ 12.36 an hour, bullets going threw walls and steel doors, having maintenance working on genie lifts right beside production lines, and continue working, management has no regard for safety only numbers. The state of Alabama made a mistake making a deal with this company. Remington has not been honest since day one. North east exit stays locked, during fire alarm workers have to walk to South east exit and stay within the fence which puts employees less than 100 feet away from building! Only ones with job security are the management members that came from other plants!

Pros

The normal day-to-day people and peers are great. First level leadership is actually pretty good as well. The product you make creates a sense of pride.

Cons

Where to begin? The organization relocated from 4-5 different locations and was poorly planned and even worse execution. Have the mentality that you should be "honored" to work for such a regal company as ROC. Facilities leadership has no backbone and made exaggerated claims they never could fulfill. High...very high turnover rate on support staff. Think the discounts will offset the negatives? WRONG. Of the products you are eligible to buy, they only have a 1/3 available to purchase. This is a huge indictment on how poorly they plan and evaluate the market conditions. If you have no other options, go ahead...I assure you, when you have other interviews or calls from recruiters, you'll jump on them.

Pros

Once you're a permanent employee, you can make decent money. Opportunities for advancement are decent. There was a lot of overtime available. Decent benefits.

Cons

The "good ole boy" "buddy" "friend" system was alive and well while I was there. If you don't know the right people, they didn't care about you and you weren't going anywhere.
