Pros

Sadly there are no longer any pros

Cons

Transition to private ownership was handled appallingly . Despite the inability to win any substantial new business the Directors remain the same yet the rest of the business has been decimated with redundancy . The senior management team lack the skills to run a business and nepotism is taken to new heights . It is incredible that the company lurches from one disaster to the next with no apparent accountability

Pros

They a had a good manager but decided to lose them to make room for a ‘friend’ who accepted redundancy less than eight months previous. The position wasn’t even advertised. I left immediately after as it soon became apparent that she was an aggressive bully who has little if any understanding of supported employment.

Cons

So many, Remploy are quick to push out their core values on to staff yet completely unable to abide by them from the top down. Numbers are primary and not those needing the support, staff are bullied openly and divided if they challenge management. I bumped into the Oldham branch manager, having nipped in to discuss referrals. I was met with a frosty reception from Cara, who demanded to know who I was and why I hadn’t booked an appointment. As a supposed partner, I was gobsmacked at how rude and unprofessional she was, co sidering I was trying to bring business their way. The member of staff was horrified and apologetic on her behalf. I really feel for the staff that sadly remain.
