Pros

The trips that they take you on from revenue you generated.

Cons

Brain wash culture. Selling permanent life insurance as investments to your friends and family so they can lock up their money for 20 years. The pay is grossly under market for advisors and employees. They recruit wealthy families from picking up kids at university career fairs and then attempt to retain assets after they leave. Recruitment lied about how other advisors will partner with you to help your business grow. Several employees and advisors that I was in contact with did not receive their last pay checks after resigning.

A mixed bag that could be much better

Pros

Some of the people are extremely kind, good benefits, salary growth potential is good if you’re a hard worker, fairly flexible work schedule but it depends on your immediate supervisor. Company events are very well curated (the marketing team is awesome).

Cons

Advisors get all the glory but support staff is overlooked (notice all top ratings are from advisors). Vague promises of bonuses but no transparency/follow through. Certain toxic people are kept in leadership roles despite multiple complaints (this seems outrageous!). Some benefits are good but could be modernized to keep up with the times.

MLM Business Model RUN!!!!!!!!

Pros

They gaslight employees with events they can write off for taxes so you don't realize what's actually going on (entertaining you for a short period of time until they pump your well of connections dry). There was one amazing colleague who I would recommend but only one.

Cons

Think of the worst things about MLM's and you have this company pegged, only worse. Was flat out lied to and deceived during the interviews. If I was given the truth, I would have declined the position. I wouldn't recommend this position to anyone. Zero support and training for new employees mainly because they don't plan on retaining advisors. The Monday morning "trainings" are nothing but motivational speeches and brainwashing (the phrase "drink the cool-aid" was used on countless occasions). No true training occurs. The compensation is extremely murky and unclear (intentionally). They will not share the true "formulas" or answer questions. When you simply ask for an explanation, you are gaslighted, told to sell more, and none of your questions are answered. I found errors on more than one paycheck (did well while I was with the company). No apology, more annoyance I checked and found errors. Surprised they haven't been sued. You are also a W-2 employee (with zero company paid benefits) for life insurance which means they get all of YOUR write offs while not covering any of your health insurance. It's a revolving door of advisors, this is to fill their life insurance goal. Again, it's better for them to not keep you around so they don't have to pay for a bigger office and can take over what clients you've brought in for investments. Want you to sell life insurance to anyone you can, then whatever money you're able to bring in for investments they plan on taking over. There is zero intent to retain advisors. Review below about having to pay before you even take the position is spot on. I've never seen more gaslighting and false narratives. Will force you to sacrifice your dignity and relationships to bring in business. It all took a mental, emotional, and physical toll in the worst way. I am so much happier, healthier, and wealthier since leaving the company. Please do yourself a favor and find employment elsewhere.
