Pros

Worked with some of the best up-and-coming security professionals in the industry.

Cons

I previously rated this company a 3 and said their mission was good but they needed help in other places. After much consideration of my role with the group, I have since chosen to amend that answer. This company has consistently failed to deliver a stable work environment to the employees they claim to "care about" the professional development of. The company owners clearly do not know whether they want to be a security company or a security PRODUCT company. Several of their (now former) employees left their previous jobs, which many of whom spent the better half of a decade of their professional careers, to work with the SANS famous "malwarejake" just to end up on their tails and out of work within 13 months. The now former CEO bold-faced lied to sell people a job with his sinking ship. He also hired people based on their connections to certain "influential figures" within the industry. The smartest decision I think they made was buying him out and getting him away from there. Had I known the man wasn't worth either my time or my talent, I never would have worked there. I should also point out that the organization advertised "Premium Information Security and Incident Response Services", yet passed off its work to employees that barely had their Security+ certifications (if they even had that cert at all.) There were also claims of discrepancies with the company's rate of pay vs. the industry standard for a cybersecurity entry-level professional. It's frankly quite futile to even post this review, as Rendition as an organization doesn't really exist anymore-- They are now marketing themselves as BreachQuest, and has recently terminated a large percentage of the organization's work force (I should also add that all of this information is publicly available on various social media outlets and nothing in this review is privileged or sensitive information.)
