Pros

only pay, that is all. guaranteed raises of .35 to.45 cents a yr.

Cons

no personal life, cant ever have kids and see them, learn to hate people due to constant lying as well as constant degradation by the company to hit their so called numbers. schedule 830 to 730., health is going downhill due to only 3 to 4 hrs personal time a day. eat bfast, lunch and dinner at work. get to live lives of family only in pictures. lack of respect for employees by upper mgt. filth of houses, and the joy of working for a company with no common sense and incredibly overinflated prices. also the benefits for a family are over 120 dollars a week, so you lose alot of the salary there.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement was great in the beginning. Always a large amount of projects going on and interesting work. As you attempted to advance to a more senior level you had to be a "yes man".

Cons

Executive leadership had no strategy or vision for staying up to date with the current retail industry and their target customer base. If you challenged the old regime way of thinking you were let go.

Pros

Interaction with my Co-workers was the highlight of my days. I have not been able to find another group of Co-workers I'd like to spend time with outside of work...since RAC.

Cons

There are SOOOOOOOOOO many cons. If I listed them all, you'd think I was exaggerating. Unless, of course, you've worked for the company yourself. If I were to sum it all up, I'd have to say that the culture of the company was and is destructive. Management, instead of seeking ways to improve upon/motivate their employees, actually instructed Supervisors to find excuses NOT to give employees' raises. I remember sitting through a quarterly meeting one year, and the CEO said that some employees felt that RAC was the best choice for employment. I purposely looked around to see if others were as puzzled as I was. We ALL had a look of confusion on our faces. Anything is a better choice when you feel as if you don't have one. That's how out of touch he was with his employees. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I knew that he knew how his employees felt. He didn't care enough to ask "why does everyone look so depressed all the time?" Numerous people that left RAC, have gained more knowledge and experienced more opportunity than what they ever would have had they stayed. Ask the ones who are still there? A modern day "Twilight Zone."
